Rasun di Sotto- Ruins of Rasun Vecchia
Walking time ca.1 hour return
Route n° 2
Departure from Rasun di Sotto, ca.500 m above the church turn right to the edge of the forest and walk on a large path to the ruins of the Rasun Vecchia Castle.

Excursion in the biotope
Walking time ca.2 hours return
Route see signs for "Biotopo".
Walk from Rasun di Sotto to Rasun di Sopra where you turn right in a northerly direction about 20 m after the Renzler Supermarket, and from there walk through the biotope. (protected area -marsh)

Panoramic tour of the Dolomites
Walking time ca.3 - 4 hours return
Route n° 21 + 56
Above the church of Rasun di Sotto turn right onto the relatively steep route n° 21 to Goste di Sopra. Continue walking along this route to the Feichter and Breitwiesen farms and on through the forest to the Kirmle farm. Here you should take route n° 56 and follow the downhill path to the Oberstaller farms - at this point turnoff to Rasun di Sotto or di Sopra.
Opportunities to rest or to have a snack: Albergo Mudlerhof guesthouse (closed on Tuesdays, except in August)

Panoramic path
Walking time ca.4 hours return
Route n° 4, 8, 19 or 22
From either Rasun di Sotto or di Sopra to the Pfaffinger farms, and then onwards to Castellanza. Take route n° 4 to Monte Piovoso Mountain, and then route n° 19 past Monte Novale Mountain to the Rauter farms and downhill on path n° 8 at Rasun di Sotto, or on path n° 22 from the Rauter farm in Novecase and then on to Camping Corones and onwards to Rasun di Sotto or di Sopra.
Opportunities to rest or to have a snack: Albergo Neunhäusern Guesthouse (closed on Wednsdays; it has no closing day during high season).

Pyramids
Walking time ca.5-6 hours return
Route n° 1 e 4
From Rasun di Sotto or di Sopra follow route n° 1 or 4 to Monte Piovoso mountain and from here take path n° 1 to Sopranessano to the Ristoro Niedrist guesthouse before reaching the Pyramids (the last section is quite steep). Take the same path back to Rasun unless if you`re walking through Plata you will get to Vila di Sopra (route n° 1) and Perca (and then from Perca returning back to Rasun by bus).

Monte Nalle mountain (2,231 m) -Montone (2,483 m)
Walking time ca.7-8 hours return
Route n° 4
From Rasun di Sotto or di Sopra on route n° 4 or 1 at the Burgfrieden farm. Take route n° 4 through the forest to "Ameisböden" (or an easier route is along Monte Piovoso mountain on a forest road) and onwards to the Monte Piovoso and Sopranessano huts. Follow route n° 4 in order to reach the Monte Nalle mountain and cross the Montone mountain. In order to be able to climb the peak it is necessary to have good walking abilities. Return on the same route, or from Montone on route n° 4 to Lahner hut and to the Capanne di Sotto huts; and from there take the forest road back to Castellanza and Rasun.

Monte Luta (2,145 m) -Monte Salomone (2,275 m)
Walking time ca.6- 7 hours return
Route n° 56 or 20, 31 and 38
From Rasun di Sotto or di Sopra walk on path n° 56 or 20 to Mudlerhof. From here go on route n° 56 and then turn right and walk uphill to Monte Luta mountain. Walk across Monte Salomone mountain on route n° 31. Then go downhill on route n° 38 to the Malga di Tesido di Fuori hut and from here on route 38A by way of the forest road return to Mudler and finally downhill to Rasun on path n° 20 or 56.

Cascata di Gola waterfall
Walking time ca.1.5 hours return
Route n° 3
From the sports pitch of Anterselva di Mezzo you will reach the Egger farms, turn right here and follow the forest road n° 3 for about 45 minutes. The Gola waterfall is located at the bottom of the Berger hut. This path is also suitable for prams and mountain bikes.

Lake path
-Option 1:
Walking time ca.5 hours, return
Route n°11 and 1
The point of departure is Anterselva di Mezzo. Walk past the sports zone to the Egger farms. Shortly before the farms turn left and follow path n° 11 to the Lake. Walk around the lake and then take path n° 1 on the left hand side of the road and return to Anterselva di Mezzo.

- Option 2:
Walking time ca. 6.5 hours, return.
Route n°6,11 and 1
When leaving from Anterselva di Sotto take route n° 6 to the Pfaffinger farm, and then onwards to the Wiesemann farm and then continue until you reach "Stolzsäge". At this point follow the road to the Vierbrunner farm and path n° 11 will take you to the lake. Return to Anterselva di Mezzo on path n° 1. Difficulty level: easy.

Malga Kumpfler hut (with restaurant)
Walking time ca.2 hours, return
From the sports zone in Anterselva di Mezzo at the edge of the village take the path to the Egger farms. Turn left at the farms and take the forest road on the left hand side to Kumpfler hut at 1,630 m. Difficulty level: easy to medium

Malga Brenn hut - Malga Berger hut -Schwörzalm hut (with restaurant) 1,680 m
Walking time ca.3-4 hours return
Route n°3 and 10
At the sports zone in Anterselva di Mezzo follow the path to the Egger farms. Ther you must turn right and soon you will reach first the Berger hut and then Brenn hut. Cross the Rio di Gola and the Rio Raut rivers above the hut and continue your walk to Schwörzalm (Black Hut), which offers a great view of the valley. From the Schwörzalm the "Kornbrennten" paths brings you down to the Steinzgerhof farm and from here return to the point of departure by following route n° 11 along the bank on the right hand side of the river.

Via Alta di Anterselva di Mezzo 1,700 m

Route n° 12
If you are departing from Anterselva di Mezzo, take the path on the left  hand side beyond the sports zone. This will bring you to the Berger and Brenn huts. Turn left after the huts to the Via Alta di Anterselva road on path n° 12 in the direction of the Kumpfler hut. Upon reaching the forest road, take the left and return to Anterselva di Mezzo by passing by the Egger farms.

Montone 2,486 m and Malga Grente hut 2,002 m (with restaurant)
Walking time ca.7.5 hours return
Route n°6 and 4
Turn left just before the church in Anterselva di Sotto and walk in the direction of the Maier farms (Maso Pfaffinger). Walk uphill along the forests border and before reaching Rico di Colle you will have to climb the quite steep path up to the Grente hut. Continue your walk on this path to Montone. Be very careful on the last section! It takes approx 1,5 hours to reach Montone. Return on the same path or take path n° 4 at the "Unterhütten" (Capanne di Sotto huts) (1,671 m) to the Lahner hut (1,829 m) and back to Anterselva (at the same level at which the biotope of Rasun is).

Rifugio Forcella di Valfredda hut / Vedrette di Ries (2,792 m)

Route n° 3
Beyond the sports zone in Anterselva di Mezzo a mountain road turns left to the Egger farms. From there take the forest road n° 3 to the right and you will soon reach the Berger and Brenn huts (1,657 m). Continue your walk on the steep, but well accessable, path n° 3 on the left hand side of the Rio di Gola river. A path snakes it way to a subsidence of the glacier and soon after to Forcella di Valfredda and on to the Forcella di Valfredda hut. The hut is open from the end of June to the end of September. Sleeping opportunities are provided for in rooms with several beds and in encampments (water, shower on the same floor, electricity). Phone: 0039 0474 492125. In winter rooms are also available. It is also possible to climb from the Rival Campo Tures. The next hut is the Roma hut (2,276 m) reachable by passing Monte Nevoso mountain or Monte Magro mountain; these are excursions in high mountains.

 

Malga Steinzger hut 1,894 m (with restaurant)

Route n° 7A
Point of departure is from the Einzianhütte Restaurant at the end of the Lago di Anterselva Lake, Route 7 A to Croda Rossa, an easy wallk to the Steinzger hut with restaurant at 1,894 m. After another 30 minutes you will reach the "Obere Steinzgeralm" hut at 2,076 m. Take path n° 7A to the Stalle pass. Return to the Lake on the forest road.

Giro Bagni di Salomone
Walking time ca.1.5 hours return
Route n° 31 b - partly
Cross the river in Anterselva di Sotto and walk to the Walder hut. By passing the Bagni di Salomone return to the point of departure.

Route n° 1
