On the tracks of the ancient Romans at Chienes
Walking time ca. 1 hour and 30 minutes
Route n° 5 (blue/white)
Chienes Tourist Office (782 m) -cross the main road and the Rienza bridge- walk through the train footpath tunnel- along the forest road to Casteldarne - at the Pietra Miliare Romana road you pass in front of the mile stone - continue your walk on the path until reaching the road parallel to the rail track - return to the bridge crossing the Rienza river and back again to the point of departure.

S. Sigismondo - masi Kahler, Aichner, Guggen, Langloacher - S. Sigismondo
Walking time ca. 3-4 hours
Route n° 9 + 10 (blue/white) and 3 + 7 (red/white)
San Sigismondo church square (823 m) - Via "In Peuren" Road to the Kahler farm- uphill to the Aichner farm (1,016 m) -Falkensteiner farm- at the major turn keep going straight on to the Guggen farm (1,166 m) and the crossroads - cross the big granite block - downhill at the Langloacher farm - from the small clearing, downhill to the Schifferegger farm and return again to point of departure.


Moarhof hut-Rio Verde Lake-Cima di Pozzo Peak
Walking time ca. 5-6 hours
Route n° 65 (red/white/red)
Parking in Corti (1,610 m), on path n° 65 through forests and fields to the Zimmermann farm and continue onwardsuntil the forests meet a forest road that leads to the Kindler and Mariental farms. A road along the Rio Verde river brings you to a quite uneven and difficult path and onwards to the Rio Verde hut on the right side of the mountain.
Follow the path to Cadisopra and the Rio Verde Lake (2,258 m). Not much further up you will be able to see the Cima di Pozzo Peak at 2,483 m. From here you have a fantastic view of the glaciers of the Aurine Alps and on the Selva dei Molini Valley including the artificial Neves Lake. Return either from an Easterly direction through Valperna passing the Valperna hut or by walking downhill in westerly direction to Corti walking past the "Kaltwassertal"  or a little further on by walking past "Pichlerberg".


Casteldarne - Plata - Mantana -Ronchi
Walking time ca. 3-4 hours
Route n° 10B, 10 e 10° (red/white)
Casteldarne (806 m) - bridge at the Rio Mara river -Golser farms (987 m) - Brandter farm (1,077 m) at the next big turn in an easterly direction, walk towards the forest and downhill to the Rainer farm - Mantana (860 m) 50 m from the main road turn to the East, Ronchi house - then take the first turn to West and return to Casteldarne.


Casteldarne - Elle - Mantana -Casteldarne

Route n° 11
Turn right at Caffé Gasser, the forest path leads past farms and on upwards to the new road to Elle. Pay attention to the route here, because the road crosses the path! From the little village, Elle, it is possible to reach Montana by taking route n° 10 downhill, it is recommended though, to stay on the path in Elle and go on to Onies. Not much later you will see the beautiful Costa farms. Once across the river, cross through the forest of Onies and then follow the downhill road to the left and on to Onies village.


S. Sigismondo -Rasteiner farm - Decker - Neller - Lago d'Issengo Lake and back
Walking time ca.4 hours
Route n° 1 (blue/white)
From the Gisser Hotel an asphalt road leads along the river and then turns to the right at the Rasteiner farm.
Keep on walking through the field until the forest begins. Path n° 2 at the East crosses the forest to Chienes. Paths n° 1 and 4 bring you to the Decker farm (which offers a beautiful view of the valley).
Continue your walk on the road to the Hitthaler farm and then continue onwards on a tight path through the fields to the Neller farm.
Path n° 1 brings you to the Lago di Issengo Lake when passing by the Perchner farm and crossing the road. Return on path n° 1 to Chienes and on route n° 2 to Sigismondo.


Corti - Plata -Sommo mountain - Corti
Walking time ca.5 hours
Route n° 19A (red/white/red)
Follow path n° 7 to Castel Schöneck and to the Baustadel farm. Beyond the farm, path n° 19 turns to the left and heads uphill to the Forchner farm on a hill above. From here uphill through the forest to the Plata house. (an opportunity of having a break or a snack is provided at  "Lerchnerhof"). Continue on path n° 66 through forests and willows to the Sommo Mountain pastures. From here go downhill on path n° 65 to the Rio Verde farms and on to Corti.
