Excursions Al Plan/ San Vigilio di Marebbe

1. Piz da Peres (m 2507, A: hours 4).
Departure from Hotel Paracela - Route n° 19, at the crucifix, route n° 12 up to the peak; or from the Furcia Mountain Pass route n° 3 (2,5 hours to the peak).

2. Plan de Corones (m 2275, A: hours 4).
From S. Vigilio to Furcia Mountain Pass (route n° 1) - take the military road up to the peak; or take a short cut to the Panorama and Graziani huts (closed in summer). Returning is also possible on the Pieve side.

3. S. Vigilio - Lago di Braies Lake (A: 6 hours).
Departure from Hotel Paracela - route n° 19 across Fojedöra Valley- Fojedöra hut - Return route at Lago di Braies Lake (return by bus).

4. S. Vigilio - Giogo Monte Croce - Ciastlins - Lé dla Creda - S. Vigilio (AR: 6 hours).
Departure Hotel Paracela - route n° 19 - at Giogo Monte Croce follow route n° 24 - in the Ciastlins ravine go down to the right following along route n° 25 - Lé dla Creda - S. Vigilio.

5. S. Vigilio - Ciastlins (AR: 4 hours).
From Lé dla Creda route n° 25 up to the hunters hut - it`s the same way back.

6. S. Vigilio - Ciastlins - Riciogogn - Alpe di Sennes (6 hours up to Sennes).
Lé dla Creda - route n° 25 to Ciastlins Valley - approx. 400 m from the first water-shed follow route n. 24 on the right - Riciogogn shaft - Return route to the Sennes hut (Munt de Sennes hut - Rifugio Sennes hut) - return also to Fodara Vedia - Pederü.

7. Pederü - Fodara (m 1980, A: hours1)- Sennes (m 2116, A: hours 2) - Biella (m 2300, A: hours 3.5)
From Pederü follow the access road to Fodara/Sennes - at route n° 6 - possible Return route to Lago di Braies Lake (Alta Via n°1), hours 3 from Biella.

8. Pederü - Fanes (m 2042, A: hours 2) - Lé de Limo (m 2172, A: hours 2.5) - Gran Fanes (m 2104, A: hours 3).
From Pederü follow path n° 7, then follow the access road to the huts - from Gran Fanes it`s possible to reach S. Cassiano (hours 3) and Cortina d'Ampezzo (hours 4).

9. Fanes - Col Bechei (m 2793, A: hours 2).
From Alpe di Fanes to Le de Limo, from there take the path without a number.

10. Fanes - Sas dles Diesc (m3011, A: hours 4).
From Fanes (Lavarella hut) on karst plateaus up as far as the crest - up to this point it is relatively easy, the last part is only recommended to be undertaken with guide. Return also to Lé Parom and route n° 7 to Alpe di Fanes.

a) Gran Fanes - Monte Vallon Bianco (A: hours 2.5) Route VB
b) Gran Fanes - Furcia Rossa (A: hours 2) from the start route VB, after 1.5 hours keep to the right.
c) Gran Fanes - Monte Castello (A: hours 2) follow Alta Via

12. S. Vigilio - Spessa - Passo S. Antonio - Fanes (A: 7 hours).
From S. Vigilio (Ciamaur) to Rit (route n° 13/15) to Spessa di La Valle - then route n° 13 to Passo S. Antonio Pass - Alpe di Fanes. Possibility to return to Pederü - S. Vigilio.

13. S. Vigilio - Santa Croce (A: hours 6).
Up to Spessa (see n° 12) then route n° 15 across the Armentara fields. Possible Return route to Badia, hours 1.5 by foot (or can be done by cable car).

14. Fodara Vedla - Sas dla Para (m 2460, A: hours 2).
Departure from Fodara Vedla hut on an easy marked out path.

15. Sennes - Sella di Sennes Mountain (m 2787, A: 6 hours from Sennes).
From Sennes hut on an easy marked outpa th - possible Return routet to Lé dla across the Riciogogn shed and the Ciastlins Valley (route n° 25/24) 3 hours.



Sports & Fun - Excursions (A = arrive; R = return)

 S. Vigilio - Chi Rauc - Ciamaor (A-R hours 1 1/2)
Departure is from the main square to Valiares and the poligono. Follow the river Rio Rudo to Ciamaor where you cross the bridge and return to S. Vigilio passing by the horse stables.

 S. Vigilio - Le dia Creda (A-R hours 2)
Follow route n° 1 to Ciamaor. Turn to the right of the Rio Rudo river until you reach the small bridge: from here 10 min. walk to Le dia Creda. Return to S. Vigilio on the asphalt road and also partly on a path to the right.

 S. Vigilio - Tamersc - Pederü (A-R hours 6)
Route n°2 to Lè dla Creda. Continue your walk through the fields and forests in part on the right hand side, and in part on the left hand side of the national road and you will first reach the Tamersc hut and after approx. 3 km the alpine hotel Pederü.

 Brüscia (hours 1 1/2)
Departure is from the Paraccia Hotel, follow the road up to the water-shed; then take the road to the right in the direction of Ciamor and return to S. Vigilio on the road.

 S. Vigilio - Torpei - Pinei (hours 1 ½)
From the Paraccia Hotel follow the road to «Casa del Miele» Torpei and continue walking up to the Pinei farms and return to S. Vigilio.

 S. Vigilio - Chi Vai - Torpei (hours 2)
Departure is from the Miara cablecar.  Follow the mountain road until reaching the first major left turn. Turn to the right here and follow the forest road in order to take the path that leads to Torpei farm. Return to the village by following the Torpei manor path or along by the Pinei farms.

 S. Vigilio - Val - Costa - Ras (hours 2)
Departure is from the Miara cablecar. Follow the road up to the residential area of Val. At this point cross the forest in order to reach Costa and then descend at the little road, which passes Ras and then leads to S. Vigilio.

 S. Vigilio - Rif. La Para - Jù (A-R hours 3)
Depart from Les Alpes Hotel - follow the road up to the La Para hut, once past the hut take the mule-track to Jù. For the return route we recommend following the path that leads to the mountain station of the Piz de Plaies cable car in order to take the path down to S. Vigilio.

 S. Vigilio - Rit (hours 3 1/2)
From the Les Alpes Hotel follow the road up to the La Para hut. Once past the hut take route n° 8 to the left of the water-shed (Giogo di Piccolino). After walking through the Monte Corn forests you will reach the fields of Rit. Follow the downhill route n° 13/15; upon reaching Ciamaor return to S. Vigilio.

 S. Vigilio - Curt - La Pli (A-R hours 3)
After leaving at the Miara cablecar station and when following the asphalt road, you will first reach Curt. Here you have the possibility to leave the asphalt road and to follow the mule-track to the left. Once past the river your walk will bring you back up to La Pli village. We recommend returning to the Sach hut and from there to Framacia, and then onto the road to S. Vigilio.

 S.Vigilio - Passo Furcia (A-R hours 4)
Depart from the Miara cablecar station walking uphill. At the cross road before the residential area of Rara, turn to the right and follow route n° 1, slightly uphill, which brings you to the Furcia mountain pass when walking through the forest. Return on the same route.

 Roda dles Viles (from 2 to 4 hours)
Departure point for this route is La Pli. From here you can choose between various routes to "Viles" di Brach, Ciaseles, Frontù, Biei, Fordora, Frena, La Costa, Cianorè. The different centres can be seen from one to the other and connected by way of various roads and paths. Everyone can therefore create their own route and discover landscape and architecture of these characteristic «Viles» di Marebbe.

All excursions can also be done backwards. It is also possible and recommended to combine different aspects of the various routes.
