Cross-Country Ski Race in Casies

For more than 21 years this traditional cross-country ski race elates pros and hobby cross-country skiers from all over the world. With start in S. Martino in Casies there are 42 or 30 km to be solved. For children there is also a short round course about 3 or 5 km.

Concert Amsterdam Sinfonietta and Martin Fröst

The concert, which will start at 8 o'clock p.m., will take place in the birthplace of the famous composer Gustav Mahler. On stage the Amsterdam Sinfonietta and Martin Fröst, which will play some songs of Gustav Mahler, Johannes Brahms, Ludwig van Beethoven, Carl Maria von Weber and Sergej Rachmaninow.

Culinary Evenings in Valdaora "Standlschmaus"

From July to August numerous booths on the village square of Valdaora invite to the traditional "Standlschmaus". Enjoy the culinary delights such as Strauben, Tirtlan or Strudel prepared by the chefs of the village.

Transhumance in Terento

The transhumance is an annual event, referring to a cow train in autumn. In Terento it is accompanied with traditional music and local delights. At noon the emblazoned cows and sheep move through the village and in the evening a "Bauernjugendball" takes place.

Stegona Market

Stegona is a little suburb of Brunico, which becomes a place of pilgrimage for South Tyrolean as well as for tourists once a year. The market of Stegona you can find the first chestnuts, socks, leather goods, South Tyrolean specialties and also cattle-dealers. This event is accompanied with music and local culinary delights.
