Once a year the usually quiet and contemplative Anterselva turns into a stronghold of biathlon. In the course of the Biathlon World Cup the best biathletes of the world compete here. The right atmosphere create numerous fans with jolly feasts.

Cross-Country Ski Race in Casies

For more than 20 years this traditional cross-country ski race elates pros and hobby cross-country skiers from all over the world. With start in S. Martino in Casies there are 42 or 30 km to be solved. For children there is also a short round course about 3 or 5 km.

Locknfescht

Every year in spring the "Locknfescht" takes place and determines the ski season. The aim of this spectacle is to cross the pond of melt water on the Seewies at the foot of the Plan de Corones. The event is accompanied by music, drinks and South Tyrolean delicacies.

Plan de Corones Run & Bike

In June the slopes oft he Plan de Corones ski resort change into raceways and cycle paths. At the Plane de Corones Run & Bike you have to crest by feet or mountain bike. To top this special event off there is a feast on the summit.

This summer the most successful German musician of all time gives a concert in Brunico. Herbert Grönemeyer turns the town hall square into his stage and elates the audience with melancholic and also dynamic songs.

Transhumance in Terento

The transhumance is an annual event, referring to a cow train in autumn. In Terento it is accompanied with traditional music and local delights. At noon the emblazoned cows and sheep move through the village and in the evening a "Bauernjugendball" takes place.

Stegona Market

Stegona is a little suburb of Brunico, which becomes a place of pilgrimage for South Tyrolean as well as for tourists once a year. The market of Stegona you can find the first chestnuts, socks, leather goods, South Tyrolean specialties and also cattle-dealers. This event is accompanied with music and local culinary delights.
